Personally, the grip section is almost a little too grippy, but there might be a break-in period with this material. To state the obvious, this means you can refill the pen with your favorite gel refill OR take this incredibly well-functioning and affordable refill and use it in any number of G2 compatible pens. But I think we also need to look at the general consensus of the Muji pen to understand why some have come to label them as “overrated”.

The body of the retractable pen features a spring-loaded clip, a clear plastic barrel, and a rubber-like grip section. It’s more of a microfrustration than anything, but it’s something that rarely happens with Muji pens unless they run out of ink. This is one I agree with, and I’m pretty sure I have mentioned this exact problem in previous posts.If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. MUJI pens are available in many styles, each designed to be very simple and generous, and therefore loved by many people. I got four of the undated a5 muji planner because muji doesn’t sell it anymore where I live and it’s the only planner that works for me! But if you want to highlight something you’ve written then yes, the Muji ink is probably going to smudge.Beautifully functional design and the realization that smoother isn’t always better, make Muji a great pen. This pen can be refilled with two different types of ink in various colors and thicknesses without having to dispose of the main body.
